Peter Maharajh
RMT Registered Massage Therapist
Peter graduated from the 3000-hour massage therapy program at West Coast College of Massage Therapy in 2007. Working with MS and Parkinson's patients, as well as conditions such as hydrocephalus and spinal cord injuries, have been some of his most rewarding experiences.
He has training in STR (Soft Tissue Release), L.A.S.T. (Ligament Articular Strain Technique), and Muscle Energy Technique, with a special interest in understanding pain, nociception, and nerves. Peter enjoys treating all patients and all injuries — just as passionate about the elite athlete with an acute hamstring or calf injury as he is about the elderly patient managing neck pain or arthritis. With an emphasis on communication and Functional Movement Screening, the patient helps establish the style and type of treatment most suited to their goals.
Peter enjoys all sports and all types of music (especially classical and jazz). His hobbies include art, reading, and studying ongoing discoveries in anatomy and physiology, with a special fascination for Heart Rate Variability and the biomechanics of running. He has a competitive background in rowing and sculling.
